These bath flakes come in a handy resealable pouch. They do state the amount to use pure 5 litres on the back of the pack but not knowing how many litres my bath was I took a guess at two handfuls. Before dissolving they do have a pleasant smell, but once in the hot water they don't have a scent at all. I do notice my skin feels softer after a long soak. Not sure about helping with pain relief as I do suffer from a bad back, and I have noticed much relief but maybe I'm not using enough to help with this!

Due to reviving (energising) aroma oils - grapefruit and eucalyptus, bath with these salts feels stimulating/rejuvenating. I tend to have a bath at night before bedtime so my most favourite is actually the lavender mix. But the magnesium salts still really relax the muscles and it feels like a treat to use it regardless of aroma oils combination. It is a pure product, ingredients list is simple: magnesium chloride hexahydrate flakes, grapefruit peel oil, limonene, eucalyptus leaf oil. There is 750g in a resealable pack, the pouch is 100% recyclable. I use one pack for 2-3 baths. So it is maybe a little pricier compared to other brands but I really appreciate there are no added chemicals or artificial perfumes! For that I prefer paying just a touch more. I ordered this for my 40 years old daughter who has been suffering from severe back pain for the past year and now the pain is echoing in her right thighs. She has been swallowing a truck load of pain killers and recently been prescribed a steroid injection but she joined a one month queue to get the injection. Last night we filled the bathtub with moderately hot water and dissolved half of the amount of crystals (too precious to consume the whole pack in one go). The result was wonderfully soothing!! We don't know how the ingredients work scientifically, but all what mattered is that my daughter said that she had forgotten the wonderful feeling to walk or sit almost pain free.
